Musical night by Vinod Rathore and Kelly



It was the arousing moment for Anjani Technoplast Ltd. as it was inauguration ceremony of their 4th and the largest manufacturing facility having more than 200,000 sq ft of work area at Greater Noida, Bollywood singer Vinod Rathore gave a musical touch to this evening by presenting some of his most applauded numbers from Bazigar, Devdas etc. Evening started with a play by ATL staff, which portrayed the success journey of ATL which left a pleasant effect on audiences. Later R.K. Gupta, MD of ATL presented welcome address & shared some of his experiences from the 20 years journey of ATL.
Anjani is the first company in India to manufacture 5 Axis CNC water-jet cutting machines, which can cut glass, iron and wood in desired shape by using water pressure. Anjani has now entered into collaboration with international companies for vehicle armouring and unmanned Aerial Vehicle manufacturing and also developing armouring application solutions for Naval and Aerospace. Rathore also sang ‘Aye Mere Humsafar’, ‘Chupana Bhi Nahi Aaata’ from Bazigar, ‘Shishe Se Shisha Takraya’ from Devdas, ‘Koi Na Koi Chahiye’ from Deewana, he also rendered some highly praised Kishore Kumar songs which he sang for Amitabh Bachchan. Upcoming singer Kelly Singh complimented this evening by singing ‘E Ishq Haye’ from Jab We Met, ‘Golmal Golmal’ from Golmal.
ATL also exhibited their armouring application solutions and 5 Axis CNC water-jet cutting machine at DEF Expo 2008 organised by Department of Defense Production at Pragati Maidan, where 273 companies from over 30 countries displayed their weapon systems for army and navy.

“Strings for Peace” by Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan & Ayaan Ali Khan.

Programme named “Strings for Peace” organized by Assam Association to begin its diamond jubilee celebrations at Siri Fort Auditorim. Sarod strings of Maestro Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan & Ayaan Ali Khan created heart warming music to beguile Delhitees. Entire surroundings were filled with the music generated for the peace by the Maestro. The Assam Association, Delhi is an organization of the persons from Assam residing in Delhi and the NCR. It was founded as Assam Snagha in the year 1947 to preserve and propagate the rich and divergent culture and traditions of Assam.
Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan started this concert by rendering a Raag Purnadhanasi. These Khan Brothers are the 7th generation in the unbroken chain of the Senia Bangash School and disciples of Maestro Amjad Ali Khan.
After this energetic performance Ustad Amjad Ali Khan took charge and created magic with his Sarod he started with Raag Shivanjali to continue the concert with Zillah Kafi. He also presented self coined Raag Ganesh Kalyan, which is created for a concert held at Ganesh Pooja and has a touch of Raag Kalyan. Hence it is named as Raag Ganesh Kalyan. He concluded his solo performance by giving an Asamee touch by presenting Bihu, a traditional form of Assam.
Maestro Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan & Ayaan Ali Khan jointly presented an energetic performance to conclude the concert. According to Maestro “Every Raaga has a soul and every Raaga is an entity in self. Every Raaga of our country is rich, can be recognized through its melody. We are surrounded by these Raag’s in this universe. Khan Brothers said that they have a very special affection for Assam as their mother (Bharatnatyam Dancer Subalakshmi Khan) hails form Assam.
Diamond Jubilee Celebrations started with this enthralling performances will continue with the four days Assam Festival at Delhi Haat from (21st to 24th Feb) where a fashion show is to be organized and more than 150 artists from North East to take part, Traditional and Cultural shows by local artists from Assam are going to enthrall Delhitees with their unique blazing, compelling and mesmerizing performing arts where one can enjoy Bihu, Faidiba, Lion Dance, Chiro, Nangkhren, Bagurumba dance forms and much more.
On this occasion spoke person of Assam Association Captain Barua said, “I am very proud to announce that today we are 60 years young, vibrant and brimming with energy. Like a fully grown flower only one root and one stem, and many petals woven together to dazzle the eye”. “During these celebrations, Delhitees can experience the flavor of Assam as Assam Association Delhi bringing traditional Dance & Music, Ethnic Cloths and much more in Capital from the land of fairs and festivals Assam” he added.

Count down had begun for the blast of Assam associations celebrations in Capital with the announcement of Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan & Ayaan Ali Khan performances “Strings for Peace” on 8 February 2008 at Siri Fort Auditorium in the Capital. A press conference held at Vittal Bhai House, Constitutional Club by Captain Barua-Assam Association, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan & Ayaan Ali Khan to announce these celebrations.
During these celebrations, Delhitees can experience the flavor of Assam as Assam Association Delhi bringing traditional Dance & Music, Ethnic Cloths and much more in Capital from the land of fairs and festivals Assam.

Lecture on Assam’s Glorious History will be delivered by eminent personalities such as Lt. Gen S.K. Sinha. PVSM, Governor of J&K. Hon’ble Union Minister Manishankar Aiyar will address the gathering on Opportunities and Roadblocks: Look East. A sermon will be delivered by Sir Mark Tully on Telling the North East Story: The conflict and the media. A lecture by famous film maker Jahnu Barua - A United North East- My Never Ending Dreams (tentative title) and Dr. Ramachandra Guha will speak on the History of Indipendence as if the North East mattered. All these lectures will be preceded by high tea and followed by an interactive session.
Apart from above An All India College Students’ essay competition on Sankaradeva: a Saint-Poet-Artist and Scholor: Last date for entry 1st March ’08 to reach General Secretary, Assam Association. A grand cultural show to coincide with the Rongali Bihu celebrations at Laxmibai Nagar, Samaj Sadan open air theatre. Performances of singers Zubin Garg and Debojit Saha are the main attractions of these celebrations.
