Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan started this concert by rendering a Raag Purnadhanasi. These Khan Brothers are the 7th generation in the unbroken chain of the Senia Bangash School and disciples of Maestro Amjad Ali Khan.
After this energetic performance Ustad Amjad Ali Khan took charge and created magic with his Sarod he started with Raag Shivanjali to continue the concert with Zillah Kafi. He also presented self coined Raag Ganesh Kalyan, which is created for a concert held at Ganesh Pooja and has a touch of Raag Kalyan. Hence it is named as Raag Ganesh Kalyan. He concluded his solo performance by giving an Asamee touch by presenting Bihu, a traditional form of Assam.
Maestro Amjad Ali Khan, Amaan Ali Khan & Ayaan Ali Khan jointly presented an energetic performance to conclude the concert. According to Maestro “Every Raaga has a soul and every Raaga is an entity in self. Every Raaga of our country is rich, can be recognized through its melody. We are surrounded by these Raag’s in this universe. Khan Brothers said that they have a very special affection for Assam as their mother (Bharatnatyam Dancer Subalakshmi Khan) hails form Assam.
Diamond Jubilee Celebrations started with this enthralling performances will continue with the four days Assam Festival at Delhi Haat from (21st to 24th Feb) where a fashion show is to be organized and more than 150 artists from North East to take part, Traditional and Cultural shows by local artists from Assam are going to enthrall Delhitees with their unique blazing, compelling and mesmerizing performing arts where one can enjoy Bihu, Faidiba, Lion Dance, Chiro, Nangkhren, Bagurumba dance forms and much more.
